Allstate claim? You pick the body shop.
Elite Auto Body and Collision Center isn’t in Allstate’s repair program, and you don’t need a program shop. California law lets you pick your body shop (Cal. Insurance Code §758.5; 10 CCR §2695.8(e)).
Under 10 CCR §2695.8(e)(1), no insurer can require that your car be repaired at a specific shop. After you name your shop, the insurer can’t steer you elsewhere or require an inspection at one of its program shops (§2695.8(e)(2), (e)(5)).
We write the estimate, work with your Allstate adjuster, and bill the insurer directly. You choose us.
How to file a claim with Allstate
Allstate says most auto claims can be filed in Allstate’s My Account, and non-customers can call 800-255-7828 (Allstate: file or track a claim). Then tell your adjuster you’d like the vehicle repaired at Elite Auto Body and Collision Center and send us your claim number.
About Allstate’s repair program
Allstate promotes its Good Hands® Repair Network. Elite is not in that network. We stand behind our own work with a limited lifetime warranty on our workmanship for as long as you own the vehicle (non-transferable).
How the process works
Photo estimate
Send photos from your phone and we’ll send back a written estimate.
We handle the paperwork
Give us the claim number and we deal with the adjuster on the estimate and supplements. We bill the insurer directly.
Towing, pickup and rental
Our towing partner can bring it in, pickup is free in greater San Jose, and we'll shuttle you to the rental agency. Call (408) 377-0505.
If the estimate is short
When we find more once the panels come off, we document it and send a supplement. If we disagree with a change, we say so and show why.
Fleet and commercial vehicles
We repair fleet cars, Sprinter and work vans, box trucks and limos. We don’t repair buses. Typical turnaround is 3–7 days, depending on parts and damage. See fleet and commercial repair.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an Allstate-approved body shop?
No. Under California regulation 10 CCR §2695.8(e), an insurer can’t require you to repair at a specific shop. You choose, and Allstate still handles the claim.
Can Allstate tell me to use a different shop?
After you’ve named your shop, the insurer can’t steer you elsewhere or require an inspection at one of its program shops (10 CCR §2695.8(e)(2), (e)(5)).
Does Elite work with Allstate claims?
Yes. We write the estimate, work with your Allstate adjuster, and bill the insurer directly. We’re an independent shop, not part of Allstate’s Good Hands Repair Network.
What’s the difference between a program (DRP) shop and choosing my own?
A DRP shop has a contract with the insurer. Choosing your own shop doesn’t change your coverage.
Can you pick up the vehicle or tow it?
Yes. Our towing partner can bring it in, pickup is free in greater San Jose, and we'll shuttle you to the rental agency. Call (408) 377-0505.
How do I get an estimate?
Use our free photo estimate from your phone or call (408) 377-0505. Your written quote comes later by text or email, after we research the repair procedures and parts. No on-the-spot quotes.
