Elite Auto Body and Collision Center, 1386 White Oaks Rd., Campbell, CA 95008 · (408) 377-0505
Liberty Mutual claim? The shop is your call.
Elite Auto Body and Collision Center isn’t in Liberty Mutual’s repair program, and you don’t need a program shop. California law lets you pick your body shop (Cal. Insurance Code §758.5; 10 CCR §2695.8(e)).
Under 10 CCR §2695.8(e)(1), no insurer can require that your car be repaired at a specific shop. After you name your shop, the insurer can’t steer you elsewhere or require an inspection at one of its program shops (§2695.8(e)(2), (e)(5)).
We write the estimate, work with your Liberty Mutual adjuster, and bill the insurer directly. You choose us.
How to file a claim with Liberty Mutual
Liberty Mutual says you can file an auto claim online in your account, and lists 800-225-2467 for claims support (Liberty Mutual claims support). Then tell your adjuster you’d like the vehicle repaired at Elite Auto Body and Collision Center and send us your claim number.
Liberty Mutual and Safeco claims
Safeco is part of Liberty Mutual. Either way, you choose the shop. We aren’t in Liberty Mutual’s or Safeco’s repair programs.
How the process works

Send photos from your phone and we’ll send back a written estimate.
We handle the paperwork
Give us the claim number and we deal with the adjuster on the estimate and supplements. We bill the insurer directly.
Towing, pickup and rental
Our towing partner can bring it in, pickup is free in greater San Jose, and we'll shuttle you to the rental agency. Call (408) 377-0505.
If the estimate is short
When we find more once the panels come off, we document it and send a supplement. If we disagree with a change, we say so and show why.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a Liberty Mutual-approved body shop?
No. Under California regulation 10 CCR §2695.8(e), an insurer can’t require you to repair at a specific shop. You choose, and Liberty Mutual still handles the claim.
Can Liberty Mutual tell me to use a different shop?
After you’ve named your shop, the insurer can’t steer you elsewhere or require an inspection at one of its program shops (10 CCR §2695.8(e)(2), (e)(5)).
Does Elite work with Liberty Mutual claims?
Yes. We write the estimate, work with your Liberty Mutual adjuster, and bill the insurer directly. We’re an independent shop, not part of Liberty Mutual’s repair network.
What’s the difference between a program (DRP) shop and choosing my own?
A DRP shop has a contract with the insurer. Choosing your own shop doesn’t change your coverage.
Can you pick up the vehicle or tow it?
Yes. Our towing partner can bring it in, pickup is free in greater San Jose, and we'll shuttle you to the rental agency. Call (408) 377-0505.
How do I get an estimate?
Use our free photo estimate from your phone or call (408) 377-0505. Your written quote comes later by text or email, after we research the repair procedures and parts. No on-the-spot quotes.
