Dairyland, Viking, and Sentry: what’s the difference?
Dairyland is the brand name. In California, Dairyland auto policies are written by Viking Insurance Co. of Wisconsin. Both are part of Sentry Insurance.
You may see any of those names on your paperwork. We work with all of them.
You choose your body shop
California rules say the insurer can’t require you to use a certain shop (10 CCR §2695.8(e)).
We’re an independent shop. We just work your claim.
How to report a Dairyland claim
Call Dairyland claims at 800-334-0090 or report online at the Dairyland claims center. In California your policy is written by Viking Insurance Co. of Wisconsin, part of Sentry, so you may see either name on your paperwork. Then send us the claim number.
How the claim works with us
1. Send photos or stop by. We’ll write up an estimate and go over it with you.
2. Give us the claim number. We deal with the adjuster and the paperwork.
3. We fix it. We’ll tell you how long it should take and let you know up front if we might find more.
4. Pickup or delivery. We can pick up the car and bring it back. Need a tow? Our towing partner can bring it in, pickup is free in greater San Jose, and we'll shuttle you to the rental agency.
Liability-only policy? Ask us first
Some Dairyland policies only cover damage to the other driver. If your own car isn’t covered, call us anyway and we’ll give you an honest estimate to fix it.
Sentry business auto
Sentry also writes business auto. For company cars, work vans, box trucks, or limos, see fleet and commercial repair. We bill the company or the insurer directly.
