You choose your body shop on a State Farm claim

In California the vehicle owner picks the repair shop. An insurer can’t require you to use a particular shop (Cal. Insurance Code §758.5). State Farm says it too: “The choice of repair shop is yours” (State Farm claims).

We’re an independent shop. We aren’t in State Farm’s repair program, and you don’t need us to be. We write the estimate, work the supplements with your adjuster, and push for what the car actually needs.

Personal or commercial State Farm claim

Most State Farm claims we see are personal cars and light trucks after a crash. We also repair small-business and fleet vehicles on commercial auto claims: company cars, Sprinter and work vans, box trucks and limos. We don’t repair buses.

The process is the same either way: send photos or drop it off, get a written estimate, give us the claim number, and we take it from there.

We handle the paperwork

File the claim with State Farm online, in their app, or through your agent (statefarm.com/claims). Then give us the claim number and we deal with the adjuster.

Towing, pickup and rental

If the estimate is short

Insurer estimates are often written before anyone takes the bumper off. When we find more, we document it with photos and send a supplement. If we disagree with a change, we say so and show why.

Fleet and commercial vehicles
